stripped bare

For Me.

with one comment

She has a lot to say. A lot of long-overdue confessions, apologies, grievances, pain, heartache and secrets to reveal. She has hidden them in her heart for too long now. The stories she will tell will be scandalous, oh yes, they will be juicy. But until he returns the broken pieces of the heart she has sent away with him, she can only mourn for the emotions lost to the harsh cruelty of words.

Where does she start? For the umpteenth time, she picks up her pen only to smear the thin sheets of paper with the transparent drops of ink from her eyes, each drop saying so much more than a short paragraph can. Unfortunately, the invisible ink will eventually dry up and evaporate into the atmosphere, and lose its intention to reach the very recipient of her words.

Her blog, though jaded and neglected, was the very premise of her most precious life-changing events. Looking at it, the untidy swirl of the name she had stolen from a novel, merely reminds her of how, two years ago, she broke another’s heart to fill her empty one. And now, stripped of that very organ that keeps her moving everyday, she is back to square one. She is only consoled by the fact that she sent him away with a heart so saturated with love, he never has to starve of it.

She has heard it too many times, spoken and sung, that if you really love someone, you should let him go. And if he was meant for you, in time, he will come back for you.

Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
Then he will come back for me.
